Looking for a way to give back and connect with community? We got you! You don’t have to be a musician or a film maker to join us, all you need is a kind heart and maybe a fanny pack (not required)! It’s our intention as volunteers to make our community a place where women and gender fluid people are encouraged to speak up and make space for marginalized communities.
There are many different hats you can wear as a volunteer. Selling merch at a show. Leading workshops. Assisting youth as needed. Instructing bass at rock camp Showing a camper how to properly hold a boom mic at film camp. With your help, we change the way women, girls and gender diverse people move through the world.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
All volunteers must be over the age of 18 years old. Juniors or Seniors in high school who have been active in our programs for over 2 years and have been approved by leadership are also permitted to volunteer.
The majority of our volunteers are women, trans men and non-binary individuals. Cis men are welcome to volunteer as allies who make space for gender marginalized people (women, girls, gender diverse folks). Cis men can help with behind the scenes work at rock camp, but are not front and center.
Volunteers must submit a background check ($14)
Volunteer Orientation is an important part of the onboarding process. In orientation you'll gain understanding of standard policies/procedures as well as education around the language we use to best communicate to our youth and fellow volunteers at camp.
The volunteer orientation content varies depending on what volunteer role you are seeking. Everyone volunteering for programs MUST complete our online general volunteer orientation.
