INTERGALACTIC YOUTH OPEN MIC

All Charlotte youth poets, musicians, rappers, singers, dancers, and artists are invited to perform.

Attention youth poets, musicians, rappers, singers, dancers, and all other young artists throughout the Milky Way, 

YOUR STAGE IS READY! BreatheINK and We Rock Charlotte invite all middle and high school

students from Earth and planets beyond to showcase your creative talent. This event is

FREE and open to everyone (even adults and extraterrestrials) to attend. Come out and

support the performance artists of the FUTURE!

BreatheINK is an arts education 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Charlotte, NC,

focused on written and performance poetry programming for middle and high school

students. Participants in BreatheINK programs increase Language Arts and public

speaking skills through a carefully designed pedagogy addressing many Common Core

Standards of Learning. BreatheINK programming includes writing and performance

workshops, showcase events, high school poetry slam league, and school poetry clubs.

BreatheINK is completely focused on the original creative voice of today’s youth.

We Rock Charlotte is a nonprofit organization that inspires gender marginalized people

(girls, women, transgender people, and nonbinary folks) to find their voice in a

collaborative space. We Rock Charlotte offers programming for all genders as well,

cultivating allies in our community. We Rock Charlotte offers camps, workshops, music

lessons and events using music and film as powerful tools of self-expression and

transformation.
